:shug: feck knows mate, i know the nos took more than a second off his time though, running it @60%, had a few long conversations with him regarding that

maybe its just ibiza's with sh1t traction in 1st/2nd?

Your all going on about power being the key to a good 1/4, stop talking shite.

If a shonky 250hp nova can run a low 11, then theres something wrong with your theories.

Ive never read so much shite in my life.

if thats aimed at me i didnt mention power mate, the only thing i stated is that the nos helped pete as it took more than a second off his time :)

Its not aimed at anyone in particular, just seems to be the blinkered view with a lot of people on SCN that power is the defining factor to getting a good 1/4 time. Do a bit of research and look at the experts, the americans. They are the gods of fwd drag.

neglecting to mention the finer details of that shonky 250bhp nova though

2.0 8v cav engine with a t34 turbo... with 50 shot of gas..... a car that cost 1/2 that of your average cupra.

The details of the car are irrelavent, the power in the car is used as effciently as possible.

Indeed it was, 3 years ago. The car hasnt been run since, hopefully next year with a new engine.

The nova is more than likey 350+kgs lighter than the ibiza plus it probably has a fancy diff and track tyres.

I've found that keeping check of the right foot is my problem, most of the time i'm way to heavy on the juice in 1st and most of time slips prove this. My lauches (1st 5 ft)are good it's just the rest of 1st that's the problem. Nearly every time my best run is usually one of the last 3 runs of the day.

It's all in the launch and gear changes IMO.

your quite right. but it;s still a shonky old nova! i know what car i'd rather own!! :D although if it's only built for a drag toy then fair enough, but no way would i own a nova as my daily car.

OMG this thread has died, nova's 1/4 miles bla bla
As asked in post k03s ibiza.. how fast?
Well when fitting a k03s you tend to have all the other mods aswell (not always) like FMIC turbo back zorst with sports cat CAI all of this with a k03s will make the car alot faster than a standard one. When im on track my car keeps up with and overtakes a wide range of cars but most of it is down to the driver as im sure it is in 1/4 mile time. IMO a custom code map is best or jabba as they are mapped to take into acount all your mods and get the best out of them. i find im still at 15psi at 5.5k rpm and them slowly dies off up the the limiter were as my ko3 would be almost dead by 5k with revo map. as far as i know the ko3s has bigger inlet and out lets on the compreser side of the turbo and more fins on the blade witch makes it IMO spool up a little quicker and hold boost abit longer but dosnt give any more peek boost but thats all down to the map. i Dont think 1/4 mile times are any good to gauge stuff by anless the same driver is used in both cars, the track isnt eather as thats s down to driver and handerling, RR are ok for power if both cars are on the same rollers on the same day.
in short its a good mod if you can aford it coz it does make your car faster.
