yeah probably, but then he changed it for an elise??? which is pretty shocking

i've looked at them on PH and i couldnt bring myself to own one of them, an exige yes, but not an elise

would a k04-020 turbo be suitable for this mod?? what power would be expected, and is this compatible with revo software??

yeah its the same basically 020/022/023 all require the manifold and DP swap

remapped...a realistic 250/260bhp at the fly or more really, same power as an LCR basically

i think it would work ok with stage 2 software but im sure stage 3 could be used

hmm... im interested in going this route now as i was given a brand new k04 some time ago that is just sitting at home...

so id need to get hold of

S3 or similar exhaust mani
Custom DP
TIP & MAF

larger injectors??

and obviously a suitable map

hmm...

Dont forget a 4 Bar FPR and a 4 Bar s3 Fuel pump if you don't want to risk blowing it all up due to Fuel starvation....3 bar is really not upto the job of a K04 remapped!

Fuel pump

no need for a fuel pump....IHI turbos run stock iirc? the am04s dont use them nor for GT2x

Yes but IHI's generally run 440 or 5550 cc injectors at 3 bar Fuel pressure, hence less strain on the pump, running the 3 bar fuel pump at 4 bar so that you get sufficient fuel delivery for the 386cc injectors can lead to failure of the pump. You can pick an S3 or TT fuel pump up for less than £50 ( mine cost me £30) from a breakers, why risk the whole engine that you have spent thousands on?
JBS recommend a fuel pump upgrade on their JBS04, Mike of A & M did recommend that the fuel pump was upgraded, Adam ran 274bhp and a 4 bar pump IIRC.
Its totally up to you but for the cost of it and the simplicity of the mod needed ( block off the second pickup) you'd be mad not to!:D

can anyone confirm that the outlet from the K04 when fitted can still use the original elbow from the K03s to the charge pipe ( i.e is it pretty musch in the same place as the K03s outlet.)

I have seen the outlet pipe and it moves ever so slightly but you have to mod the bracket by the fpr. Its all clear when in situe

My mind changes from day to day. But the underlining factor is - I would love 300+bhp I would have a constant grin on my face thats for sure. Have got enough to go IHI now too, so even more appealing!

if u do decide to go for this option , i have a wideband lamnda , air fuel ratio gauge for sale if u r interested , its still in the box , never had chance to fit it , i am open to offers , it cost me £220
