I prefer the oem fogs. I've had a look on the tx site and there isnt a kit for the LCR.

Kat I'm sorry if this is ruining your thread but you could find this useful as well lol.

You might have more power......I know clearly at the end of the day which car I would pick...

x2. At least yours will cope with the power it has safely.

Surprised Gaulds dont have the probe to see if the car is running lean/rich. That is what means the most to me when mine is on the rollers. At the end of the day, the car is as fast as the weakest link allows it to go whether its the pile of mush behind the wheel or the weakest link on the car itself - ie bad mods.

You know what I think after our yak earlier anyway - numbers mean nothing. A quick decat pipe/sports cat downpipe and cat back system, decent intercoller (Forge), air feed to the cone and a Manson/Revo map, and you will be looking at closer to 300bhp and the suspension, wheels, tyres etc are set to cope with it. You have been in Willies LCR, so you know what they are capable of ;)

By the way, if/when you do the Forge FMIC, don't bother painting it - there was a test done on here or another forum between a painted and non painted FMIC, and the painted one was less efficient.

kat those figures will be fine :) , dont bother putting it on another rr as the figures will be different.

if you do end up with a few more mods, go back and find out if the % of power has increase and how much etc.

car is looking really good too! top job.

^I might be able to make that, if i get my arse in gear and MOT the car.

Speak to sam and that about FMIC they actually own a LCR with stage 2 and theyv got good figures and all that POWER stuff so they'd know what theyr talking about. I only bought mine for a giggle and sumthing to do one weekend. Arsed spending an extra 400 quid, think of the shoes.

Nice tactical edit there Al

I did expect the probe for the fuelling, but being honest his garage is a bit old school! Thanks for our phone chat, you certainly put my mind at ease :) Being honest, I don't think that 246bhp for my car is actually that bad, considering I don't have any power mods. Willie's LCR is amazing, it's probably one of the best LCRs out there.

Cheers Dav :D I haven't done any power mods, all my money has gone on cosmetic work! Next year, I hope to get some decent mods on the go, and then we may see ;)

Cheers for the offer, I might come along to that. All depends on the weather, as I might have the car declared SORN by then if I get a winter runabout. Hopefully be able to come along :)

So you went into town for fuel with no front bumper, FMIC held on with tie wraps and no MOT?! You really are chancing you luck boy, especially with your licence.

Sam and Tom both have the TX FMIC, and Tom is running into the 300s, so it can't be that bad and must do it's job. £400, I could get two pairs of shoes for that

With one point to spare, your a brave cookie Derek! Be a bit embarrassing rolling up to UD's walking beside the 'LOLF' because you can't legally drive!

Yeah, just two pairs. You have seen my heels Derek, don't you know expensive shoes when you see them?! My ones for my birthday were on sale and they were still £150 ;)

Kat, I'm surprised your not happy with these figures.
I'd be over the moon with that torque figure on a stage 1 map.

I would personally stay away from a TX cooler.
I know others use them and have what is seemingly good results.
For me, it would always be in the back of my mind that its at not as good as the Forge one.
Also if you come to sell your car in bits the Forge one would sell quicker and easier for a better price.
But, each to their own.
I've not had any issues with my Forge FMIC which I've had for 4 years and cost me £650.
It was cooling to 5* above ambient at full throttle when outside was 26*
It took about 2 hours to fit with no cutting and the fogs could still be used if I wanted to.

If you've got the money go the Forge way.

Hi Willie. I think the reason I was unhappy with the fact I totally got hung up on the bhp figure and completely overlooked the torque. Thankfully now that I have realised the torque is good, Im happier. I always thought my car pulled hard, but I presumed all remapped cars would be as good if not better.

Thinking about everyones opinions and advice and looking at my car, I think if I am to get an FMIC, I would rather hold off and get a Forge one. I have never held back on the price for anything else, so it would be silly to on one thing, especially when it is rather important. This will be a long way off yet, possibly two years away.

For now, I am concentrating on just keeping my car as clean and fresh as possible, with a few little things to happen in the next couple of months. ;)
