although if you zoom in, there is a tiny crack next too the wing were its indented, depending upon the engineer who inspects he may put down for new, he may want it repairing using an ins approved method due to the cost of them bumper,

I was with Aviva when I got hit but through a broker called Need 2 Insure. I made the mistake of just going straight to Aviva, maybe I should have gone to Need2Insure first and done it that way. Oh well, if it happens again I'll be outright refusing to use Arnold Clark, they're almost worse than useless.

You're right about not being an average female too, they're usually a little taller :p

 I'm not that short!! Im glad Youngson's are dealing with this for me. Less stress :)

Engineer??

The bumper maybe mis shaped if its received a impact like that. If its just a scuff then yeah your right they would just spray. But I know insurance places iv used replaced everything damaged or stuffed for new OEM parts, even my arch lines ffs

I have no idea about the bumper, will just have to wait and see.

Aviva aren't paying!!!!!!! It's Direct line. No idea why everyone thinks it's Aviva as that is who I am with!! The estimator said it MAY or MAY NOT require a bumper, they won't know until they remove the wing.

Either way as long as it is repaired correctly I don't mind what's included :)

Have you involved your insurance or are you using a third party company to claim on your behalf.

The later is better as if your using your own you will more than likely have to pay your excess, your policy will also go up next year too, ncb or not. Sadly :(

It was Aviva I was with when I got hit from behind. My rear bumper had no visible damage at all but it still got replaced. Altho as Kat says it's the other party's insurance that will have to argue the toss.

 I'm not that short!!

:p

2 months... Three visits. Rejected twice..... :/

Jeez, suddenly Arnold Clark don't seem that bad, that's properly crap min.

Its already booked in at Kinghorn, so it will just be going there. If Polished Bliss use them, I can't see they will be too bad.

Just because Im a female, doesn't mean I wont be fussy. If Im not happy with it, it won't be leaving Kinghorn's premises until I am happy.

Fingers crossed it will be alright though :)

On further inspecition, my passenger side foglight is loose and the arch liner is hanging off, so hopefully there will be taken care of too!

Well, got my baby back tonight. Took 8 days in the bodyshop but have to say, I'm rather pleased :)

The bonnet was mended so I didn't get a new bonnet, but hats off to them as you wouldn't even know it has been damaged and I didn't think you would be able to mend where it was hit as it's double skinned. So, it got 1x drivers wing, 1x drivers headlight, 1x R badge, and I think I might have a new drivers side skirt, but this was damaged before, so shhhhhh... :D

Had a very good look and study at the car (as did my bf) before I signed and paid, so all is well. I ended up paying a wee bit extra as Direct Line wouldn't pay out very well and would only pay to paint 1/4 of the bonnet, so I paid a little bit myself to get the whole front end done. Im not called Crazy Kat for nothing!

Just a few pics to show but they are crap, so will get some new ones once it's got a good clean (my pretty clean engine bay is no more :( Never mind, keep me out of trouble!)

Looking forward to letting the paint harden fully and then machine polishing the whole car with a good detail, before being tucked away for winter!

So we gonna abuse this things paint with our DAs and my rotary if I'm brave enough to use it on yours;-) before our shoot

We will be! I honestly expected the paint to be a mess of micro marring and buffer trails, but Im really impressed as the sun was really beaming yesterday, and I think I honestly seen about two buffer trails! So less work for me (or us!) :)

Will get better pics soon Tom as those one don't do it any justice! Very happy though :D

Yeah, thats the benefit of paying a slightly higher insurance premium through my Dad's Business, has it's perks! ;)

Thank you! It's right up my street too :)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO ME AND MY BABY!

Two years ago today I was like a wee 6 year old on Xmas day! Up at 5:30am, taxi to airport, jumped on a one way flight to Leeds/Bradford Airport, got picked up by the previous owner and taken for a wee spin, back to his house to speak money and by 9am I had the keys in my hand and was setting off on my way home :)

Still remember the drive home, was amazing. Going from my previous 53 plate LC to this was the best feeling ever :)

So thats two years of ownership, in total done 14,000 miles in that two years, and spent lots of cash (prob the value of the car again ) but it's all been worth it! Still just a lil whippet at just 43k on the clock ;)

Love you Foxy Baby
