Let's do it in the bire before it goes for painting, then you will get a full job done and end up with the show spec car you want.
These checks will help ensure your car body work stays good for years.
Perfect, cheers Willie, really appreciate you suggesting that and helping me with it. I really want my car to be fit for show spec, hopefully will be by summer
Let me know if I need to get anything for doing this. I have Autosmart Tardis if this is any use.
LOL, bet its nae the first time the bires been used.
We all know what you farming lasses are like
The first time we remove this it'll be just to clean and investigate what's going on behind there.
So general cleaning stuff will do for a start, I have all the tooling we'll need.
Well today I decided to give my alloys a proper clean and put them back on since the better weather is approaching, finally!!!
I used Iron Cut, Tardis and sealed them with Migliore Wheel Seal. The purple you see is the Iron Filings in Situ being removed from the alloys.
Here's the results.
Anyone that's considering doing this, do it!! Iron Cut is amazing on alloys
No, none at all but still think it looks good, Im chuffed with my car anyway Willie you free on saturday? Wondered if we could do the arches and under sills, and brembo refurb at same time
My car goes into bodyshop in 13 days and Im mega excited!!!! My two new front doors are already there and getting the insides sprayed this week. Some of you might think my car isn't in that bad condition from looking at my pics, but here's a few pics to show you what you don't see until up close!
Also my two dear friends Willie and Al came to mine on Thursday night and we removed the sideskirts and arch liners to check for rust. I was delighted to see that there is very little, only really a few spots the size of a pin head So we cleaned the skirts and liners. Here's a couple pics.
Im just very good at taking pics whilst avoiding it all showing! lol. Yeah, all will be gone in roughly 3 weeks time (if they only take a week to sort it all). Can't wait!!
Oh and how she will shine when I'm done with her!!! My old Cupra was a minter once I was finished with, sure this one will be too. Thanks again for your help you rare gem hehe
