My car keeps blow the left front headlight bulb, I have had two bulbs (Osram and Phililps) in the past 2-3months. No signs of any wires burning either?

Car: 2002 Ibiza Sport.

I'd be shocked if it was the car blowing them unless you have very hard/lowered suspension that is shaking the filaments to destruction.

Most probably just a coincidence. I have heard that these super bright bulbs run hotter and don't last as long anyway.

Have you checked the voltage on the lamp connection with a multimeter?

Also, do you have the correct size fuse for it also?

I was told before when fitting them not to touch the bulb, fingers prints get on the bulb and cause them to overheat. Not sure any truth in this but mine have lasted :).

I have used some Blue Vison bulbs which the off near side bulb went pop, then tryed some Osram Nightbreakers and after 3-4 months the near side bulb went again!
