Any chance of a quick guide of what you did? , how long it look, paper you used etc?

Didn't take long, just washed the wheel then rubbed down with some fairly rough wet and dry paper (had it lying around already so don't know grade) then used finer paper till the area was reasonably smooth. Then got out my old favourite the Solvol Autosol metal polish, as it is an abrasive paste, keep it off the painted bits and rub down the now smooth damaged polished bits till you can't feel any damage. This bit is best done over a few times till looks ok to the eye, then polish off with a buffing cloth and add some clear lacquer to protect, (I used a SEAT stick) When all dry, wax the wheel with a wheel wax like Angel Wax or similar and done, not perfect but hardly visible.:D

bet it saved a packet too......don't know if it's any use, but Pristine Wheels (Woburn) used to do a "Refurb/replace" service, where you took or sent your wheel(s) to them, they replaced it with an already refurbished one, and kept yours to refurb for the next customer...

Hi guys,
I have some small damage on my diamond cut Cupra 280 alloy (it has the black painted elements). I know that this type of alloy is really hard to repair but I hope that you can help me.

As I read above and in the other topics, we have to use wet/dry paper, then Autosol Metal Polish, then clear lacquer, then wax. And here there is a question. How to get this "clear lacquer"? Seastormer mentioned also something like "SEAT stick". I phoned my local dealer but they say that they don't have the code of the clear lacquer used on this diamond cut alloy.

I will be really grateful for your help.

Regards

If you buy a touch up stick for a metallic paint finish from Seat (ie Nevada White) then it comes with one bottle of the paint, and one of the laquer
