Hi All,

I am a newbie here. I have a Seat Leon 1.6 2004 model which I am owning for the past one year.

It has recently developed a problem, with the remote keys. It worked fine before single press on the unlock button opened driver door and double press opened all other doors. Now it only opens the drivers door and double press just makes a light click sound and flashes the indicators. But when I press the unlock button from the door panel it works.

I tried to manually open the door with the key one turn to the right opens drivers door, second turn to the right unlocks all doors. But if I open any passenger door at this stage sets off the alarm and I have to insert the key and turn once to stop it.

Any advice is roughly appreciated

I tried reprogramming the key using methods found on internet, nothing has helped. I purchased a via-com cable and vids lite software, it doesn't read 46-central convenience properly.

I haven't tried replacing battery on the key as it locks and unlocks drivers door perfectly.

Any help is highly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Your alarm will go off when you use the key as it's still armed so that's nothing to worry about.

Try taking the battery off for half an hour and back on, maybe reset it.

Firstly I'd say replace your battery in the key just in case, although it sounds like it's working fine.

Make sure you have your radio code if you do take the battery off. Good luck

Possibly a fault with the drivers door lock module. You need someone with proper vagcom/vcds to scan for fault codes.

Disconnect the battery, that should fix it. Also might be the battery on its way out

Thank you all I will try the battery method. Let me check the manual to see if I can find the radio code. :)
