KYB Excel-G Shocks

Hi all,

I am after some advice... I need to replace the (very) worn shocks on my car, probably front and rear while I'm at it and wondered if anyone has used the KYB shocks mentioned in the title??

I have found them very cheap from www.buypartsby.co.uk (£25.78+VAT) for each gas strut! I think they are the OEM ones that are fitted at the factory.....

I am limited by money as I'm sure most people are and these seem to be a sensible choice as a direct replacement! Also what other parts would you recommend changing as I have been reading about the top mounts etc and I think my front top mounts are shot as when I jack the car up there is definite movement

Any help woud be appreciated and any alternatives will be considered!!

Thanks :D

Had no experience with KYB but I know they are reasonably well regarded by people with Mazdas. My mate with an MX5 uses them and rates them.

You should definitely change the top mounts unless they have been done very recently.

Thanks Ed. I will probably go with them as they are very reasonably priced and just had a call from a friend who also said that they are good!

I assume that I should replace front and back as I'm there!

Is it worth doing any bushes while I have it all apart?
