Hi all,

M Leon has developed a lane assist error, the system wont activate and just comes up with "Error: Lane Assist" and the same for High Beam Assist ( or dynamic light whatever Seat want to call it).

Via VCDS I get the error below

Address A5: Frt Sens. Drv. Assist (R242) Labels: 5Q0-980-653.clb
Part No SW: 5Q0 980 653 F HW: 5Q0 980 653
Component: MQB_MFK H06 0052
Serial number: 10000153050
Coding: 0100010001020304000500000100010100
Shop #: WSC 00049 770 00126
ASAM Dataset: EV_MFKBoschAU370 001001
ROD: EV_MFKBoschAU370.rod
VCID: 3B7578D5B24DFE9AA9-806E

1 Fault Found:
0662 - Dynamic Calibration
C1106 F0 [009] - Limit Exceeded
Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear

Car is booked in with Seat Coventry but they appear to be little clueless about their own ADAS systems. Questioned them if they have the equipment to calibrate ADAS and taken them 3 days to answer the question. They have to take it to their VW garage where they have the kit. Going to cost £220+VAT but not sure if it should be covered under warranty.

Car had a new windscreen in September along with a ADAS calibration and all seemed ok but since the clocks changed I've been trying to use the features more (as its dark on my way home) and getting these errors.

Does anyone on here work at Seat and can give me more info on this error ??

Note quite an answer, but when you had the windscreen replaced, who did the ADAS then, and, was it paid for by SEAT or the insurance?

Autoglass changed the screen and did a ADAS recal, the work was done at their ADAS centre near Leicester. Was paid thru insurance and I paid the excess.

Car is with Seat now and they claim there was no cal in the ADAS module. Hope to get the car back tomorrow so will know more then.

Talk to Autoglass...
They will have issued a calibration certificate for the work. It's only been 2 months so I would be extremely surprised if it isn't covered by their warranty.
If SEAT realise that the screen has been replaced, then it would likely be billable work. A few people on here have mentioned in other threads when their calibration wasn't covered through the insurance.

When I had my screen replaced last month the technician said to contact him directly if I had any issues with the ADAS.

Yeah they gave me a calibration certificate but it only states a basic calibration. Which doesn't mean much and is not the same as a full ADAS calibration. They only had the car an hour so unlikely to have changed the screen and done the full ADAS cal in that time.

I've been in touch with Autoglass. They state their calibration is only valid on the day it is done. They offered to check it but if it needs changing then its £250 + VAT, + I have to take the car to Leicester.

Took it to Seat and they quoted £220 + VAT

Once it is all sorted will be in touch with Autoglass again.

Well got the car back after 2 days at Seat Coventry.

Lane assist and high beam assist worked for about 15 miles on the drive home, then the error came back.

Hooked up VCDS, same fault code as before

So £264 for a ADAS re-cal and the original problem still there.

Will be back on the phone to them in the morning, well pissed off

Car booked back in with Seat Coventry for Monday 21st

However, was driving the car today and got a huge chip in the windscreen, so new screen needed and the whole ADAS recal process starts again. :banghead2

Just for the reference of others, I had my windscreen replaced and did not get a calibration done (despite intending to). Lane assist/full beam assist still works perfectly, maybe I got lucky?

Yes it was OEM glass at my request, fitted by auto glass nonetheless through my insurance.
Ok that's good to hear. Didn't know there was a choice. Will ask for a Seat screen when this one gets replaced.
