Ah, now you have spoilt it by letting slip that your car is a 5 door, I was just going to tell you that I had worked out that:- your car is 5 door with electric windows front and rear and has cruise control! Other than that, there are two bits sets that I can't account for (Byte 2 bit 1, and Byte 17 bit 6) though you also have an extra two "sub systems" over what is in daughter's
Ibiza S/C, and maybe these two extra set bits and these two extra sub systems are related and due to that car having rear electric windows and cruise control.
So no outrageous differences really, though I'm guessing that your car was built before daughter's car as quite a lot of the part numbers etc are higher in her car. I know for a fact that her car was reg'd November 2009 and it was in transit when she picked it.
I'm guessing that you have never ever had the terrible "battery discharges if car is not used for more than 5 days" - I think that only ever got reported for late 2009 build cars and only the S/C versions, though I can't explain why that could be, though it seems to be the case. This
problem has not been reported very well in this forum, though if you used the car daily or almost daily, you would not know that that issue existed.
Anyway, thanks again for helping me out, it is just a case of working through everything and then trying to force the local Seat dealer to talk to Seat UK about reflashing the BCM as maybe it is the management S/W for that module that is suspect, originally it was thought that incorrect
coding might have been the issue, but what her car has ties in with the BCM
coding. I have heard that if you hand it in for investigation, the first thing that they do is replace the battery and give it back to you, which would be a pain in the bottom as I can do that a lot cheaper, but the battery does seem to be good, ie holds its charge very well if disconnected from the car for 10 days, when discharged, takes a serious bit of charging to get it back to fully charged then the charger just "ticks over". Though maybe I will need to replace the battery if only to stop Seat dealer doing that, unfortunately the other two cars in the driveway have stop/start or much bigger smarter batteries, so I can't even swop them over!!
I'm guessing that you know that your car, like her one, has the "Emergency Flashing" (Turn Signals) and "Emergency Brake Flashing" (Brake Light) activated - though you would probably need the following car driver to tell you that - that is if you ever have had to stand on the anchors!!
