If it was bearing I'd imagine you'd feel it through steering wheel

Does it get louder with speed / load ?

Good point. At slow speeds its fine, it only makes a noise when I'm travelling at 15mph and above. And sometimes when I'm reversing, obviously not going that fast. It is louder the faster I'm going, sounds "looser", or more rattly.

My vrs did that and it's was one of the exhaust brackets. Worth checking ...
