They wouldn't work though if you look at them the plate would just flip flat

Yeah wind haha, I mean if I mounted it upside down then the plate would be look rubbish at shows etc because it would be facing the ground but poking out the bumper

The manual version would be fine, i think they are spring loaded once flipped out so it wont drop down.

Dan i think your one can be classed as the SUPER wide mouth version. others take 2 of those standard grills cut the plate recess out then fabricate 1 wide grill out of 2 but you still get that plastic bit.
this is DKs i belive in comparison i prefer the super wide mouth haha

The problem with doing it the way Dan did is you'll have to cut the crash bar so you can't see it where on mine it's covered by the top of the grill

To do this you'll need to cut the 2 centre fixings off the splitter.

Just read your post and realised you don't want it coming from the centre like mine, so it wont be possible. I was like you i wanted it to flip from the side but the only way this is possible is by butchering the bumper some more which i couldn't be arsed to do.

Yes the metal crash bar, or you'll see it behind the honeycomb and it'll look ****. Have a look a Phillc's FMIC install he cut the crash bar.

Cars dead now , but yeah carbon bonnet , Rs4 carbon splitter didn't catch that much tbh

Yep thats the one, mine cost alot more than that though because it has the motor. I managed to find a uk seller on ebay who had imported them from the US. I've had a search and can't find the same seller so u'd have to get it from the US.
