Anyone fitted one of these?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SEAT-LEON...rParts_SM&fits=Model:Leon&hash=item35ce43e229

The flexi is starting to blow on my LCR and I really can't be bothered with a 3 inch downpipe/decat/sports cat/etc. Just after something cheap to that fits without too much faffing around. Standard one from Seat is nearly 4 times the price!!!!

Also does the standard downpipe come out without removing the subframe?

Many thanks

I've got one if you want it. There are other standard ones on ebay for 40-60 quid too

Interesting that you have one, but didn't fit it, any reason?

I'm struggling to find any other standard ones, do you have a link?

Very true. But having spent the best part of a day trying to make a 3 inch downpipe fit a mates S3, I really can't be bothered to go through that again. Plus I really don't have the time anymore. I think it was on and off about 10 times, and at the time I had a fully dressed BAM engine in the workshop on the floor, so could offer up the 3 bolt flange to the turbo until they all fitted properly.

At nearly 200k miles on the car, I'm happy to not chase numbers with it, it's been mega reliable - unlike my mates one with 270 bhp or so - it's plenty quick enough for real world driving. And sad to say there are far, far quicker toys I have access to for a real blast.

Yep, I had the time to source and weld a 3" DP and sports cat. Hence I have a standard one up for grabs.:D

I've heard the down pipe and cat can be hard to separate due to the condition of the bolts and nuts. Not sure how true this is however, it could just be the sellers trying to sell you a sports cat/decat as well.

I can imagine there's truth in what is said. I had trouble with a couple of bolts and had to grind them off. The bolts are welded onto the cat so if they are ground off, you have an almost useless cat. I ground all the bolts off and drilled 6 holes for new bolts. This is why you may find them as a pair
