boost/vac leaks, dodgy maf( yours looks good), plugs, fuel filter..........or could be a mapping issue, seeing as requested is very lean

sounds daft, have you looked at vac line from inlet manny to dv.... possibility at low revs leak is escaping, but under higher pressure not as much so.

I've felt it as far as I can, I need to take that 2nd engine cover off so I can see it all.

I bypassed my 249 to rule that out, is the mani vac line easy to remove once the small engine cover is off?

yup.... best bet is a leak test mate.

if youve bypassed n249 then you should have replaced the manny vac line to dv anyways.

under the plastic cover is a metal guard plate to remove then you can see the vac lines under manny...just.

but the requested lean is strange chris

Also, can we not rule out boost leak as this would show up more during higher RPM or am I talking shite there? lol

no your right, boost looks ok from then on tbh. just your fault codes points towards vac leak....

just another thing, what map are you on and what dv you run?

edit, re read apr map and forge 007. did you have yellow spring in?

i see you replaced your 75 and dv hoses to charge pipe... did it do this prior to changing them?

I've connected a 4mm hose to the end of the mani VAC that extends to the DV. I should of replaced it all but didnt know how to get to the mani vac connection.

APR Stage 1 on 97RON, I switched it back to OEM 225 map today and still got low power between 2-3k (but didnt seem quite as bad)

Forge 007p, I've been running on Yellow spring but just changed to green. Car seems happier with green but did try the yellow one again just incase it was the green. 007p has been cleaned/re-greased with high temp deltaplex grease. 007p passes the simple leak test using a pencil and finger end.

Let's not guess until we've seen the logs...... :)

Appreciate this Dave!! I'll log as you requested tomorrow dinnertime.

Thing is; I've been driving my car really steady for two months because my FMIC pipework kept popping off. I replaced the FMIC jublee clips with T-Bolts and did the Forge charge pipe/75 pipe same time as doing the T-bolts.

I also did a throttle body adaptation today with VAG COM. No change. Car has never felt so quick now I have T-bolts on the FMIC........it really goes once its reached 3k rpm......but so slow when putting foot down at 2k.

CARS! lol
