hi, im looking into getting a FMIC for my lcr 03. I cant afford to get a forge one, so i have been looking at the toyosport one and one from ebay. Does anyone know if either of these are big enough for the lcr, as they look gd value for money, and do they compare with the forge one. Also has anyone any expoerience on either, fitting them and performance?? Any input will be appreciated.

cheers, dan

The tx autosport one from eBay is what I'm running. It the same size as the forge kit as it's 30 mm deeper, also has better cooling as it's not hidden behind the crash bar. The kit really is top quality and I'm over the moon with mine, I highly recommend this kit and you won't find better value for money. Also it's a straight forward fit.

This isn't a cheapy cooler. It's designed for the lcr and if I may add, Tom on this forum who also has the same kit ran some befor and after logs of intake temps.
Before were high 30s and after were low 20s and even made 20. If that isn't good enough then I don't no what is, also turbin is running this kit at stage 2 and loves it.

Sam the toyo kit can be good just depends how well it's fitted :) also pipes need to be cut. But for the money it's good. But I couldn't be bothered making a kit fit when you can buy one at a good price that fits straight on.

Just to add robbie (rs smith) did a fantastic of fitting the toyo kit, but I'm sure he went that extra mile to get it that good.

That means I'll have to get the same as you sam but I have lc not lcr so you sure the toyo don't go straight on?

Toyosports FMIC ;)

Mine was pretty straight forward, it had already came off a LCR, so it was easy for me to re-assemble it on my car ;)

people have done great builds with the toyo kits, the only thing im not so keen on is the silicon joiners, they look so small. or am i just talking cr+p.
