I would add to this. If you don't drive your LCR like a loony much of the time, there really isn't a need for expensive discs and pads. I don't know what I've got on the front of mine, but Im pretty sure they're cheap shite.

But, they do the job fine. I got them fading badly once, and only once, and that was when I was driving like a complete bellend round the back roads where I live. Obviously, I never usually drive the car like I stole it, so this isn't a problem for me.

They brake fine from 100, and stop me when I need to stop.

Now obviously, if you really push your car you should totally make sure you've got good kit on there, but I'm just putting another point of view on here.

It's not all about performance pedal feel was also better, OEM pads could feel a little 'woolly' IMO

Is it a problem if he didn't bleed them properly other than the fact that there is still some of the old fluid in the system? I have not noticed any extra pedal travel or anything.

only in hot use will a high temp fluid show itself for being a high temp fluid.
Dot4 should be bled every 2 years as std as the fluids are hygroscopic (absorb water) which reduces their boil temp performance = long pedal

1/2ltr is no where near anough to bleed the system tho. ABS pump alone holds more than this.
