How do gents, i need a bit of help please, done a search but can't really find much.

My LCR has started idling low around the 700rpm mark, cars always been fine at idle?? I've just fitted a FMIC and new dog bone bushes but can't see this making any diffrence,it was idling around 900rpm and was fine but now she's dropped its juddering and the steering wheels vibrating and all the rest of it...aaaaaarrrrrrrrhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!

the car boosts and seems to run fine its just the tick over,

i had the same problem when i fitted my samco tip but it seemed to sort its self out after a while ( the miraculas self healing car )
 
Could be a split hose, or slight leak, check fmic. Theres normal a slight pressure drop with fmic.
Try do tb alignment via vag and give the tb a good clean also
 
Nick,

Check over all the FMIC hose connections to make sure none are slightly away. While your at it have a quick check over the other boost hoses (if needs be get some water in a spray bottle and put it on looking for bubbles).

You will get more noticable vibrations through the dogbone mount, we compared mine to james and its quite noticeable but not so after a while as you just live with it.

Try those things, if all else fails can always shoot over the bingley tomorrow night or something and we can have a quick gander

Checked all the hoses, no visable leaks, swapped my split r for the standard bosh one, still no diffrence!!!!

Really struggling now gents, don't have a clue!!!
 
Mine has always ticked over about 850 with no prob's, now its lower when you turn the steering wheel it drop's to nearly 500 rpm and feels as though its going to stall ,

Do you have the full version?? Its booked in ay awesome monday for a vag-com check but Leeds is closer and sounds cheaper to me;)

Do you usually drive with your aircon on?
The engine raises the revs at idle to drive the aircon compressor, mine idles at about 900 with the aircon on... but the aircon turns itself off below certain temperatures (like ones we've been having recently) and hence the revs will drop to a more 'normal' 750-800 rpm.
Could that be the problem?
 
I was gonna say the air con, but also you have APR so if you get the V Tune, you can adjust the idle from there if it bugging you that much. My car is very similar spec to yours and my idle is about 750 ish on a warm engine i think.
 
I'm taking it to Awesome Monday morning for some vag-com loving!! If that doesn't turn up any faults i'll just get the idle turned up 80-100 rpm
