LCR may'be "fixed"...

Hi all,

As some of you knows, I've had a really irritation problem regarding boost and CF's
2 weeks ago my fuel pump went and I had a new one. I then out of interest asked revo regadring a stage 2 upgrade for my LCR and then got the infoimation, "You already had stage 2, we did this so you didnt need to resend the ECU to us".
First i thought COOL, then I asked how to get use of this, "this is already active, just use the settings".. stage2 is just more timing sensetive...

Then it striked me, I've just recentlly had a FULL BF TBE exhuast mounted, so I've actually been running the car with a stage 2 map, but without the free flow exhaust.

So to sum it up, when I tried to use a B6T6 setting like the rest of you guys and were complaining over bad CF's, then I was comparing apples with bananas.
And I was complaining over a bad map etc. but I thinks it very hard to figures this out, WHEN I DIDNT GET THE CORRECT INFORMATION!

Well I saw aorunf 5-6 CF's across the range in the summer.

Now I see around 3 CF's across the range. But with -1 Celcius outside and B6T6.

And yes, they put stage 2 on without telling me, so no wonder my car reacted odd when I set t6 with stock exhuast.

This is what I'm getting at the moment with -1 celcius.

4.th gear run.
Code:
	Group A:	'115 Group B:	'020

	1282,12	4920	191,7	2210	2210	1281,52	0	1,5	1,5	0
	1283,23	5360	191,7	2190	2190	1282,68	0	0,8	0,8	0
	1284,37	5720	185	2170	2120	1283,79	0	0,8	0,8	0
	1285,63	6040	175,9	2160	2130	1285,01	0	0	0	0

As it also shows, my actual vs. specified boost are alot closer now.

It's not the best weather to do logs in, but general I see 1.1 bar at around 2800 rpm till 6000 rpm.

Wow i am really suprised they put you on Stage 2 without telling you, but at least you are getting the problem sorted i guess.
What causes high CF anyway? i am seeing 6.8's when i log block 020, i am thinking now should i be worried.

Well as far as I know, it's due to high temperature on the cylinders, so if the intercooler is inefficient or the weather outside is really hot, you will get high CF if you run too much timing. You should be able to higher timing by using better fuel like vpower or racefuel.

My car was mapped in the UK using 98ron, i can only buy 95 ron in ireland  so that might explain my high CF's.

Are you being over cautious though Gubien, i wonder how many mapped LCR's are out there and nobody does logging on them like we do, a lot i bet. Can you not adjust your timing with unisettings or something to get around this.

Well, at the moment I'm the only one with a long nose, i havent even got an apology for lack of information.
To start with most people in here knowns how much I'm been struggling with this car and tried to get help from revo.
Revo tried to help but ended up saying "We cant help you by logs alone", which is fair, but when I then confront them with the fact that they put stage 2 on my car, they just shutted like an oister.
But after all, it pretty hard for them to give support, when the customer thinks he runs stage 1, but actually run stage 2.
I guess I'm just stuck with my revo switch and vagcom.
