Afternoon all,

Just changed the brakes all round on my LCR (cheers Badger Bill for parts) and am very impressed with the new set-up so far. However, when removing the old pads noticed the pad wear sensor was embedded in and so we now have the warning buzzer when we turn on and the poxy light on the dashboard which doesn't go out!

Any thoughts on how to prevent this??
I did look at removing the fuse but the manual didn't state which fuse and I would have thought the fuse would do more than one job anyway.

So, earth the cable? Forcibly remove the connector from the pad and reattach it??

All help and guidance much appreciated.

So it's just the fact that there's no connection between the two terminals??

Sweet. Thanks MoffMeister
:D

If you have removed the old pad with the sensor still fitted, whats wrong with cutting off the cable and connector, soldering together the wires and just plugging in the cable connector...

Make a "proper job" of it

What he said. thats what i have done in the past. keep the connector and if you have more pads without a sensor in the future..... re-use

I just cut the wire a bit short of the pad and wrapped the cores together, bit of tape and zip tied back. You can always unclip and reuse the connector in the future as said.

Do this mate i did its easy and if your next set of pads have the sensors you can still plug it in
