Had a blast with a new fiesta ST at the weekend both of us nearly getting a for the way we were racing, my god there quick little things, anyone else experienced one of these from a standing start, I could not pull away from him

How powerful are those go karts

150 bhp - they run a 2.0L na engine, so no turbo lag on them!

Funny thing is, everything I've read about them to date suggests that they aren't that quick!

Check your plugs or MAF mate. You should have pished all over it.

My mate has a chipped Fiesta ST and my old Toledo 1.8T whipped it royally every time.

'off the line' there wont be much in it as you cant take advantage of any extra power you have and the leon weighs more.

Lol. You would have to fluff your start in an LCR before an ST would get any leeway....

0-60 in 7.9, might not be much in it after initital get away but the lcr should pull away as you near 60 I would have thought. If you dump the clutch then the wheel spin will kill a good 0-60 time and the fiesta will have a lot easie4r time putting down its power.

my problem like any Cupra or LCR is that big power causes the traction control to come on, and without it on it lights up the wheels in 1st 2nd and into third, I think thats what caused it because on a good launch and can stay with Sccobys and Cossies as my avatar empi5 haha cheaky bastrd lolol , third upwards as soon as the turbo came in i pulled him in and passed , just a bit of a shock he got away from me

I have never had problems with Fiesta ST, you should have been all over him and easy passed/pulled away.

UPDATE: Ran into this car again the other day at a shell station he recognised me and come over, he says " shocked the other day weren't you? I said yeah i was whats under the bonnet?

ONLY TURBO'D ST lump RUNNING NEARLY 280BHP.......

As you can imagine I felt a bit better knowing this all i can say is anyone in the waterlooville hampshire area watch out if he appears to next to you. last digits are jmj and its navy blue

The ONLY time it pulls away from me is from a standing start. I get to 2,000 revs and it becomes a cute looking white mess in my rear-view mirror.

They're fun cars. For girls. That is all.

If your LCR couldn't lose it, then it's almost certainly modded.
