My rear alloy is leaking air in one place around the rim and seal with the tyre. Is there a simple fix?

Thanks.

assuming it's not cracked----your tyre man can unseat the tyre apply some goo and reseat--should fix it I wouldn't use the stuff you put in thro' the valve for emergencies only :)

Thanks,
There doesn't seem to be any real damage to it just some light kerbing.

I ve had this on a few cars and as the thread above says you have to get the tyre removed, and a compound seal applied followed by a re-balanced. Once this has done you should not have the problem come back ;)

One thing to consider, is there corrosion running across the area the tyre bead rests on? If the wheel is quite old, and there is signs of corrosion showing on the outside of the wheel near this leak site, then, in my experience you will need to take the tyre off, clean up near/on any parts where there is corrosion, re-spray, then refit the tyre.

Thanks all, I will take it to a small tyre place I know who are very good at such things,
