Hi guys,

I'm thinking of changing my interior lighting from the standard yellow lights to nice white LED's but I'm really confused about what to buy!? There are so many different options to choose from and I don't know which ones I need.

I have a Leon MK2 pre-facelift.

My question is, how many LED's will I need for a full interior conversion and which ones (size etc)? If anyone could link me to them on eBay that would be great, and what bulbs do I need and how many for the number plate lights?

I also wanted to change the headlights, sidelights etc to MTEC super white lights but again I don't know what to buy. This type of stuff is a different language to me and I don't know what I'm doing so all help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

With the headlights, I cannot really help (I have a FL with Xenons) but for the interior lights, I've had issues getting LED's that will work and fit for the interior and also the sidelights and number plates, but PartsULike do a kit which I believe has all of the bulbs you need for a complete LED conversion. But I think they do another kit which just covers the interior lights of that's all you require, I've read in many other places on this forum that it works and doesn't trigger any of the annoying "Light Out" warnings.

Hope this helps you!

Thanks for the reply. I've had a look at PartsULike and it helped me understand what bulbs I need. £20 seems a little steep for a few LEDs though, or is that the price of them? I was thinking of looking on eBay for cheaper but I'm guessing I risk buying lights that will cause the error on the dash.

That seems to be about the right price for a good set, I've tried the Ebay route for them but they've all caused error warnings either immediately or after a short time. Unfortunately, having tried to find cheaper LED's elsewhere, I've probably spent double the cost of a PartsULike kit already so would like to save others the trouble.

Obviously, i've not bought one of these kits myself just yet but having emailed Dave from there (he's on here too) he's willing to offer replacements but said they've had very few issues with any of the kits, so it seems promising!

Hi Guys, im Dave who runs Partsulike. Im aware of a few problems people have had with the number plate and error messages. We have just taken delivery of some new Cree style ones that stop any error messages.

Im pleased to also announce 10% off for Seat Members. Simply use Promo code SEAT15 at the checkout.
