Left indicator clicking uber fast???

Hey guys, right my left indicator is clicking at least three times as fast as normal - I have checked all the bulbs and the seem fine (just obviously flashing quicker). Could this be an issue with a relay? any ideas people?

If all the bulbs illuminate then I guess it must be the relay ?

may sound silly, have you checked all the indicators on that side work properly, and not intermittently. maybe a bulb is loose? including the repeater on the wing? may ne worth changing the bulbbs anyway.

a blown or loose bulb in one of them may cause this. it certainly could on older cars anyway. worth a look

The problem is intermittent, sometimes it goes at its crazy speed then it returns to its normal ticking speed - Random problem! will double check the bulbs tommorow just in case.

if the bulbs aren't loose, or contacts dirty, it will, as said by dholdi, almost certainly be a relay issue.

have you put any LED bulbs in any where?? it messes up the canbus system and makes the lighting set ups go mad, i put led rear stop/tail bulbs in and it turnt my 3rd brake light on as a stop and tail light, not only that but when i broke it put my side lights on too lol, just a thought though

My moneys on the front indicator, known for the contact to wear.

The only led's I have are fitted for the rear number plate illumination.
I'll check the connections this morning.

had exact same issue long time ago
remove bulb, clean contacts with sandpaper rub
pinch contacts a little
all good

i also upgraded bulbs so no orange seen and never had since
