After having a pretty stressful day I went and put the cherry on the cake and scuffed the side of my mk4. :( Only had it a week!!

Reversed out the drive and nicked the neighbors wall slightly. Scuffed the paint off near the left indicator repeater which will require a touch up. Hopefully it'll be cheap but it has gone to the metal.

Of more importance is that the wall has taken my repeater out of the car. Only one clip is still attached to it. I'm sure this should be easy to replace but where can I get one from and for how much? I've currently got it taped on to the car at the moment!!

I could probably patch this one up so it stayed in but it has taken the metal clip post off as well and presumably it has fallen inside the body somewhere. Probably just needs gluing on if I can find it.

Any ideas?

Make the best of a bad situation get some clear ones form ebay (no orange bulb showing unlike most standard ones) ebay will be cheaper than the dealers I imagine. Sorry to hear of your bad luck I know how you feel had a broken window and bent wheel and new tyre lately all not my fault.

i know exactly how you must feel mate, on friday just gone, just got my car taxed and was all ready to drive around, just heding home from a little ride out, and it was the roundabout down the road from my house, a woman drove straight into the side of me, i was absolutely gutted, first day on the road :(

Cheers for the help guys, hungover today so don't even want to see the light of day but will venture out tomorrow and check the paint colour then it's onto the stealers on Tuesday, seems they don't have spares department open on weekends which is a pain as I work in the week but should be able to sort something out.

Just got off the phone with Stoke Seat, £8.50 for it, pick it up Saturday, I assume it's an easy thing to fit? Pull wires off current one and push wires into the sockets on the new one and then just secure it in?

Only damage is on the indicator repeater and the paint just after it, will take a pic on Saturday, put Vaseline on it to stop it going rusty :)D:D) but it looks like it may be going rusty already! Is there anything else I can do to cover it up?

i didnt know vaseline stopped it going rusty lol, im not to sure really mate, i guess you could google "ways to prevent rust" i know oil prevents rust, so you could get some clear bike oil, put it on a cloth and rub it on :)
