Legal Plates ?

Can any one tell me what fonts are legal now for reg plates ?

Im looking to get new ones but dont know if they are legal or not as its not really worth getting points for this.

Pictures, websites, sizes etc will b helpful

Standard font you see on every other car is the only legal one...

Otherwise you will be issued with a Fixed Penalty Notice for £30 which you have to pay within 28 days for not conforming to legal registration mark regulations... The offence code will be VE50...

How do i know this!? Just been pulled over.

Im looking to get the font " EuroStyle "

Its not so much small lettering but very skinny

Again, sizing is another laid down thing... Cant have motorbike plates etc etc...

It again has to be a standard size plate with the letters being 89mm high...

I.e. basically anything other than standard with the correct reference of who made them etc etc

As said mate, anything that deviates from standard and british regulations they can pull you for... It depends on how pedantic the Police are being...

oh well,thats a shame. i always think that the number plate is a finishing touch when done properly.

Think ill just have to make do with standard Espana plates.

I make number plates and these new laws are crippling, we have to turn away customers because the is no more fancy styles! also the plates have to have the company name and address on the bottom of the plate, so the cops know where to go and who to give the heafty fine to!

Fair enough that there are alotta stupid fonts out there.
But so longs it can be read easily BlOCK style or whateva it should b allowed

Yeah they do.. will have to show them the documents for vehicle though.. like most places in order to buy legal plates.
