What do the Revo SPS3 timing settings equate to in terms of degrees?
I'm sure I left mine on either 6 or 7 when I sold my SPS3. I have retarded it slightly -1.5degrees as Im running **** fuel (was desperate). Wondering how much I could advance it when running decent fuel..

Yeah but I dont have an sps3 so 1-9 figures not much use to me. Lemmiwinks lets you adjust but in terms of degrees (advanced/retard) I only moved it slightly to be on the safe side.

yep fuse is all u have to do, as bill says, ibiza's are a pain, i see revo now bench flash mk3 ibiza/s cos of issues like these.

You put timign up x 0.75 degree, you want to be logging first, increase 1.5 at a time or so, and then relog a few days after its adapte,d if you log right away, pointless.

I agree with bill, CC util is much better and alot more reliable.

Boost cannot be changed unless you have Custom Code, else it will always be 100% max.

Right just to bump and old thread.

When you connect to the ECU and increase the timing by X amount and press set does that same setting show up on lemmiwinks again?

So if i set the timing to +1.75 took it for a blast then re-connected and press 'read' again would it show +1.75 in the timing block?

yes that setting is shown next time you load values as +1.75. even stays after a battery reset.

If it hasnt stayed set then youve done something wrong. (try again, but ensure you turn ignition off before you go for a drive, like your SPS>

Dont forget to pull fuse 27 (or was is 17) or you wont be able to connect.

if you change the timing to xxx and hit set. then turn the ignition off then back on. I normally click read again just to make sure it has made the change then go log it

Can you change the settings without the keys being in?

I got it to re-read the settings i chose now btw. :D Time to wind the timing back a little for the warmer weather.

Thanks people.

Defo does that Phil. Im sure I set my timing to 7 before I sold SPS3. Would be nice to know a 'safe' value I could advance by in lemiwinks. What would be best to log if I increased it and logged? 020 for CF's and ..?

timing 7 on a sps3 if i remember correctly is 0.00 or top dead centre when read with lemmiwinks.

seen the option for boost

Ch12 : SEL Scaling (Turbo Cars Only)
Adjust boost
- Higher numbers increase boost pressure
- Lower numbers decrease boost pressure

but guess this one wont work will it?

you may be able to, depends how your car is set up, each one is different.

Your SPS settings wont read on lemmiwinks mate, so whatever timing your set on, lemiwinks will still see 0.00 to start with.

Jabba use lemmiwinks when they get customers wanting timing increased from FMIC or DP or something.

I found it best to leave it alone, you will hit a small number where you will see huge CF's, so small incrememnts till your seeing 2/3's in the pull.
