A quick question for you please.

My Leon 1.6 S 52 plate has remote central locking, but no factory alarm. Would this vehicle have deadlocks on it as part of the central locking?????

Thanks

Mike

Thanks, it sounds like it locks twice when you press the remote only once.
If the window is open, and you reach in and press the door lock button on the drivers door, the door will unlock when you pull the handle.
But if you use the remote, the lock buttons rise when you pull the handle, and then go back down again, so I'm assuming that is deadlocked.

Thanks again

Mike

You have to press the lock button on the remote TWICE to activate the deadlock. All vags are the same if they have central locking you can deadlock them.

Found this by accident Mike!

I'm pretty sure it's the other way round with VAG. Once will deploy the deadlocks, as that's logical - you want those on by default. You would press lock twice in quick succession if you DIDN'T want the deadlocks on. This also disables interior monitoring if fitted.
