Hi People, 5 months ago i took the plunge and bought a leon curpa tdi... loving it! It was thanks to a small sticker in the back window which pointed me here, been reading every since!

Thanks to the good reviews i have just booked my car in with custom code for a remap, looking forward to it.

My question is to the people who have had it done is there anything specific i must tell them or is the stage 1 map the same for us all, i.e i have green cotton panel filter. Does anyone have any graphs from vag com they could show of beofre and after?

Also as a side note car reg was yv04 *** with the stickers for here so if anyone knows the person who it was let me know!! Excellent vehicle to whoever you are!:)

If it is... its a bit slow! lol.Had it on vag com and theres no massive torque reading as far as i can tell when doing data logging.

It is a good point though and one i did wonder... other than what i have already done is there a way to tell. There was no reciepts for a remap when i got the car and the docs i got were all very concise.

Not sure about the w8 interior light (what is that) but there was lots of handy hints in the instruciton book especially the power unde rthe steering wheel (extra power point). Stickers are on the rear quarter lights - the salesman told me the chap who sold it loved the car but need something bigger due to family growth.

has everything else you said!

Don't know anything about it, Sorry.

Only joking.

I was wondering when it was going to turn up on here:D

It used to be mine. No remap on it, sorry to say.

Great car, had it for 3.5 yrs from new and it never let me down. Like to saleman said I needed something bigger and a bit more practical so I got the XL.

Still miss the leon sometimes though.

haha excellent... a happy re-union. Well its a joy to drive and is doing well. May i thank you for the excellent goodyear tyres as well :)

I'm kinda glad it hasn't had the remap seeing as i have just paid! I have been thinking about it for a while, love the car and don't want to hurt it. Going off the reviews though i think it will be in safe hands.

If there is ever a meet with the club in our area and i'll have to come and down and say hi you all!

Hi all, I couldn't help but notice that very few people seem to be talking about these devices. Is there a reason for this? In the first instance I would have thought that being the 'official' tuning partner they would be the first choice.

Any insight gratefully received as I plan to have a map applied soon to my pd 170.

Thanks in advance.

'Official' doesnt always mean the best.

Tuners on here will do just a good a job if not better, look at the feedback from happy customers after remap.

Hi by devices do you mean the custom code. Its a remap of the ecu, not an acutal device so bascially a software update.

Doing a bit of searching there a quite a lot of cgood reviews on this site about custom code. I was orignally stuck between these and angel tunning. It was the reviews here which swayed my decision.

I'll let you know how it goes, if you are thinking of a remap all of them i have spoken to recommend upgrading to a high flow panel filter such as green cotton.

Well, Lee has been from custom code. After a trial run as standard and taking readings, confirming the car is healthy the new code was uploaded.

10 minutes later we are taking readings again, and i have a nice grin on my face!!!

Nice smooth power delivery right up to the redline - as of yet i can't recommend the remap enough.

Excellent service, knowledgeable staff - - time to save up for the bits and bobs of a phase 2!
