leon cupra 2.0 transmission ??

hey seat forum ..
I have a question about the gearbox on a León Cupra 2.0 TFSI.
how many horsepower gearbox can withstand?
I have heard that they are not as strong but would like to be sure before I tuna my engine more into it in advance
I hope there is one here who does know a lot about my question?

There are people running over 500hp through these gearboxes.

But then again, just because it hasnt failed yet, doesnt mean it wont fail in the future. It could fail even with standard power.

well once you have 500hp see what happens. If you break it, buy another, and cyro treat it.

I think you will be ok though, 500hp will need alot of money sweat and tears.

Of course yes, there are no other ways to figure it out on the action to try but a lot of money some people in advance of the gearbox can not keep

I have 500++ HP on mine - but it's not the HP that breaks the tranny - its the torque!
The limit is 650NM if you ask me..
I have smashed my 4th gear twice now because it had too much torque!
Both times in a clean pull in 4th gear from 3000-7000RPM!

well.. it had a Garrett GT3071R on at that time i posted the dyno onhere a while ago
500HP and 650NM with 2.0bar.. it ran 2.2bar without problems at all

installing a huge 3582 now

yes.. thats with a completely stock low pressure system and only upgraded to a APR HPFP!!
the 499HP was again with 2.0bar and it run's 2.2bar just fine
