Leon cupra r mpg

Was looking at the brochure last night and combined is 34.9. Extra urban 40 odd. Just wanting people opinions of the mpg when driving normally? I don't do a lot of miles. Maybe 200 max per week (have a company vehicle). so not a huge deal but out of interest in different driving conditions. What do you boys get?

on my cupra i get about 32-33mpg if driven like a grannie at 50-60 on a long run.

Around town taking it steady i see between 22-25mpg, on my run to work which is town and due carriageway i can get between 32-34mpg. Normally works out 40miles off £10's worth of fuel

Did a 600 mile round trip last week, the average came out at 32mpg. Mostly done on motorways.

Driving normally I get around 32mpg. If I take it really easy I can get about 39mpg but the way I drive it's around 27mpg most times.

Well the best I've ever seen is 33mpg mostly 29mpg that's A roads and motorways probably averaging 80mph.
I done 550 miles in a day and sat on cruise at 80 mph and returned 31 mpg
Last fill up at 144.9 a litre cost £60 and done 268 miles.
If I drive my 25 miles commute fast it's reading 21 mpg when I get home.
They do like a drink.

Mines similar to Kevs, low 20's round the town. High 20's on A-roads / motorways. I have had 34mpg on the motorway but that was cruising at 60 - I generally don't do this!

On my phase 2 cupra I can get around the 38 mark on my 25 mile trip to work.
That's driving very conservatively and not going above 60, if I hit too much standing traffic on the way it drops to 35 ish.

They are good. Although you can sed the speedo going round much quicker. The car does not feel as fast as the diesel fr until you get a phase 2.
I have the Cupra R rear valence and milltek exhaust fitted, sounds epic with non res.

i dont often get over 20mpg in my FR... maybe i need to change for an LCR lol.

30mpg average. But I have driven to Germany which is 600miles and at 70mph all the way I got 1 n half tanks out of it. best effort rest have been 2 tanks haha

Interesting to read as I've had the R now two weeks today . I also don't do that many miles but mixed roads so I'm sort of hoping it will be 27-30 mpg ,and obviously less when I do give it some beans .
The motorway figures on here seem good but then I don't think I could keep it at 75-80 mph for too long
Someone mentioned it does like a drink ,so I suppose in my case it's a bit like it's owner

p.s. so far I've been returning 27 mpg only done 450 or so miles on different roads ,with the odd blast !

STG 1 Revo Cupra. Run on VPower and I get 240miles per tank. And that is a mixture of driving.

Computer says it gets 23mpg.

I dissagree.

In standard form the Cupra doesnt feel as fast as a De-DPFd leon but after stage 1 revo and its totally different, more torque and pulls really hard to the red line.

Totally agree my stage1 cupra is in a different league to my stage 2 derv

I havent reset my Avg MPG since I bought it 10 months ago with 7k miles done. Its reading 32.6mpg

Yeh Revo maps feel faster as they have lots more low end torque, but that's of the expense of the power dropping off much more quickly at higher rpm.

My car against Revo stage2 at 2k rpm, the revo mapped car pulls away from until 4k rpm then I go past the revo car and it can't catch me.

But yeh if you are in my mates revo car it does feel faster but it actually is not.

Oh and btw a stage 1 cupra does not have more torque than a stage 2 de-DPF

When i test drove the Matt Black LCR at SEAT Media day........... my FR felt alot punchier than the LCR, The LCR however did stick to the road alot better

Guess it down to having all that Torque


Nibbles (Blades old K1) Stage2+ though is completely different league
