had an led day today,

firslty i converted all the interior lights to white led's gives the cabin such a crisp fresh look,

secondly my drl lights arrived

now these wont be everyones cup of tea but stuff it haha

i decided they looked a bit chav so gave them a ghosting of black to add to the stealth look, and then fitted them to the btcc grilles

and then when the side lights come on they dip to 50% power as per law

Very neat installation on the drls . Which LEDs did you put in the interior, I'm looking to change them just not sure where to get them from and what the sizes are?

No. There fine. Ind they need fitting the right way.

The interior led kit was supplied for £20 inc two can bus for the front side lights too.

It's off a lad on a golf forum. Give me a min and I'll dig out the details

Today I realised a btcc spoiler, no matter how much you trim it won't fit a face lift tailgate, so expensive test but it would of been unique,

So quick call to seat and ordered a propper one

So after work I stuck the tailgate into the booth for colour

Also painted one of my mirror caps as that was scuffed

I've ordered a new high level brake light as there different, I bagged two rear lights off ebay for £40 as well, then for new yr I'm going led,

I'm thinking gloss black for the spoiler and maybe a dewiper on the hatch, but that's only if my motor doesn't fit lol

Most be great have a paint booth to hand lol.

The gloss black it the way forward mate, mine is black as well.

Yeah, I have another spoiler to do in black so may as well haha,

I want to do something with the lower bumper around the exhaust I'm just not sure if black would suit. I want to make a diffuser type thing.

Did think that but the mirrors are black too.

I'll do mine yellow then I have both a black and a yellow one to try on and make my mind up lol

Hi can I ask where you got the Drl's from on Ebay have you got a link? Also other than the Drl bulbs what else did you have to buy to get them running/50% dipping when sidelights on please?

Just type in eagle drl and they will come up, you also want a genlabs drl unit

managed to get the tailgate 90% fitted today,

for anyone wanting to do it, some bits are different

firstly the wiring loom works all the parts on the fl tailgate, how ever the upper brake light wire needs extending as they changed the location of the plug, speaking of the light that has to be new too and there £30

next the mount for the gas strut is different aswell it must be shorter, so i need to order that.

i currently dont know if the rear panel fits either lol,

im kinda stuck now till i get bits, so final adjustment will be done when they all arrive, the o/s isnt flush yet but the n/s is

Cheers bud, did you buy the ones that say .....2 x 9watt Led daytime EAgle eye car fog reverse backup parking signal lamp light?

There pretty cheap aren't they, they look ok thou. YER I've had a look @ that genlabs stuff it looks good + well priced, did you go for the level 2 or level 3 box?

Did you have to take the bumper off...sorry for all the questions but im ok with DIY car stuff but leave the electrics to my dad.

That's the lights. Went level 2 with Re gen labs. Its easy to do but you need to go through the fire wall to get to the fuse box.
