Had to take mine in for loom problem and the service engineers also flashed a updated s/w for the ECU [ this is the second s/w upgrade I have had / known about from SEAT, but this one appears to have reverted back to std performance!@!@. Has yet I have not found out what this s/w upgrade does but chaps with remaps beware you may need a reflash. ............................................ Waiting to see what Super chips have to say if their file has been modified.

Yep confirmed S/W had been over written with the latest Seat ECU update, cost me 1hrs labour for reinstall. Super chips have incorported Seats changes into the their s/w. I also found out that when the performance is changed they also improve the fly by wire throttle response, which I was not aware of in the passed. Cars back to it good old grut now !!!!

That's one of the things that puts me off a remap - even Bluefin... I mean, if you 'reset to standard' before you take it in, then they update your ECU with latest code, surely then you can't reapply your map without losing whatever they updated - you'll be reflashing with the mapped old code.

Are you able to get the same remap applied to the updated ECU version for free (or a minimal fee)?

You just rescan and upload the latest code, and they then modify and return it FOC...

Hopefully it will just be an hours labour charge, as the s/w is already paid for, should know by Friday what's as been changed
