Hi

Noticed earlier today that my accelerator pedal makes a click noise when I take my foot of the gas to change gear. I'm pretty sure the noise wasnt there before

I have had a look at the pedal but cant see anything which may be causing the problem.

I noticed someone had the same issue before on this forum but there is no mention on the thread to say what the outcome was

Any assistance appreciated

Anyone got the same click noise from the accelerator pedal when you lift your foot of the gas to change gear ?

I had the same experiance a month or so back. Yesterday when I went to use the car I only have half throttle. Pedal will not go fully down and stops half way. Always a problem when Dealers are not available.
Anyone else have this issue of suggest a solution before the Dealers reopen.

Cheers and a Merry Christmas to all readers

Found the problem. The click was most probably a bit of grit jammed at the foot of the throttle pedal. I had a look yesterday to see if I could figure out the half throttle issue and found a stone lodges at the base of the throttle on the door side. There is a lip to the side of the pedal and this was keeping the stone in under the pivot of the pedal. It took quite a while to get it out as there is not much room between the pedal and the plastic cover to the right. Eventually managed to get it prized out with a small screwdriver. Even the hoover would no suck it out. Problem solved. I would imagine that a stone stuck to a show in this snowy weather must have dropped behind the pedal.
Hope this helps

Cheers
