leon fr dump valve

Ive looked through this forum and cant find the answer. Is there a guide to fitting a dump valve to a leon fr petrol 2008. I want something a little louder. Any recomendations?. Is there even one fitted as standard?. Thanx in advance.

Have a look at the Forge blow off valve, not a dump valve as such, but you dont want to 'dump' air as the turbo works with a recirculating vavle. And induction kit also gives a good sound.

hi,

i have an 06 leon fr, and have had a forge recirculating/atmospheric dump valve fitted. you can set it to either 100% atmospheric (loud), 100% recirculating (little noise) or 50% / 50% (in between) i had mine set at 100% atmospheric and it sounds cool. it came with instructions on how to fit it, but had mine put in for me as apparently its an arse to fit as its underneath the car as apposed to through the bonnet. had it fitted the same time as a re-map and a air filter. well worth the money!!!

Does adding this give an increase or decrease to performance. Also I take it this would void any warranty with the car.

yes...u loose the warranty ...and you win only a sound at the car...

how hard is it to fit the dump valve as on the 07 FR TFSI the turbo is hidden well at the back! has any1 fitted one them selfs or is this something you can't do on your own?

Just note that the TFSi needs axle stands or a lift as the valve is located low down at the rear of the engine
