Mine has now started to stall for no reason too when the car is driving slow and then coming to a stop.

But I think I had my injectors replaced about 2-3 years ago, could they go again?

I'm sure that the garage used to just replace the faulty injector. If the others work then they did not replace them.

I know this because I had 2 replaced last year then the other 2 at the recall last week. The car runs alot better now. Smoother than before.

They usually check the code on the injectors and then replace the ones with that have been recalled. It should be free anyways so I'd get it done

I've just spoken to Seat Customer Services, tried to get through to Simon Akroyd, but he's apparently quite busy just now!

The first thing the chap asked was, 'Is this about injectors?' so I replied honestly that I was worried about them cutting out on may daily motorway journey. He said that they have proved through testing to VOSA that the vehicles will still drive safely for a short while after a failure, so it is not a full recall, but they will be issuing letters to unaffected owners in the new year.

I then gave my details and I wasn't on there system, so wouldnt have been contacted!

Now waiting on Simon calling me back (within 48 hours apparently...)

How do you contact them?

As I am in work a email address should be better and I'll send my thoughts and problems symptoms of my car to them via there email address.

Any email address anyone?

To busy in work to ring at the moment.

Be good get this sorted during Xmas holidays another thing tick off the list haha

Just got a letter from seat today saying there offering a free check and any work for injector problems fixed free of charge  . Phoned my local dealer they said no problem when do you want them done. :D

They don't publish an email address on the SEAT website but there is a contact form.

I used the form and they got back to me within a couple of days.

Simon just asked for the reg number then told me to book it into a dealer and he would call them to confirm the injectors were to be done.

No hassle at all.

Hi first post on here! Em what it was is i got a letter the other day about a re-call for injectors and pump on my 56 plate pd170 fr, was just wondering if id have to take of my bluefin map incase it voids seats

I've just been phoned (out of the blue) by SEAT Camberley Service Centre (where I normally get my car serviced), offering to check my '08 plate FR TDi over in light of this. Will report back what they find...

W Livingston told me that there was a workshop campaign out for it. Cue all the dealers rushing to get the extra business before Christmas! Or is that just me being cynical :p

I got a phone call today for our 09 plate Leon FR. The workshop manager said there is a service bulletin out for my vehicle but wasn't very forthcoming with what it was for. Got the information out of him in the end and car going in on the 30th will be interesting to see as engine has been missing a bit under load but started using v power and that seem to make it better again.

Well, 52 hours after being advised I'd heard back from them in 48 hours, and no call. So I called again, left ANOTHER message for them, and no call today.....

Hmmmm.

Cheers paulfs, Probs will take it off before the 4th of jan when it goes to seat.

Called my local SEAT dealer on Monday and car (57 plate FR) booked in Tuesday morning. Car returned on Thursday lunchtime with 4 new injectors and wiring loom replaced.
Excellent service from both SEAT and dealer!
