I recently bought a Leon FR TDi on a 58 plate and I notice that there is a telephone button on the steering wheel, which when pressed prompts me for a command and number.

I'm wondering if it is possible to connect an iPhone to this telephone feature in the car.

Thanks.

Doesn't work on my 2010. I was reading the the tech spec the other day saying only bluetooth pack has voice control, if you have the sat nav unit with bluetooth, it doesn't have voice control apparently.

I have the sat nav, and it prompts me for a command, but none have ever worked.

No I dont have the Sat Nav. Just the standard
MP3 player. I assume it does have voice control as when I hit the button on the steering wheel it says "speak a command".

Can I connect an iPhone through the auxillary port to use the telephony services?

Hmmm, ok. I'll try connecting via Bluetooth when I get home tonight. I must admit, I've never had my Bluetooth switched on on my iPhone in the time I've had it. So the car should detect my phone ok you think?

You need to search for new devices on your phone and you will see that it comes up with something with seat in the name. When you chose it you will need to enter a code (check manual what the code is).

Cheers - I will give it a blast and come back here and let you know. :)

I got this setup very easily on my phone tonight. All I done was:

1. Turn on Bluetooth on my iPhone
2. Search for devices
3. Select SEAT_UTV when it appeared
4. Enter the code 1234

The devices were then paired. From there I could use the menu on the dash to download my phone book and from there I could make/receive calls. Superb! :D
