have a browse in the tdi tuning section mate, lots of ideas and prices in there.

You'd be looking at a few grand for 230bhp.

Best off with a remap and airfilter and exhaust /decat

depends on what remap you have & who from ,

again research is wise ,

theres aggressive maps (kills clutches ) and smooth progressive ones (more clutch friendly )

ive not mapped mine , but have looked into it before , depends on what you want and how deep ya pockets are £££

if money no object (keeping car forever ) then , hybrid turbo , uprated clutch ,exhaust , filter and custom/live remap prob sumin it up its £3500 - 4ks worth of parts there

plus the problems to overcome , i,e intercooler setup needs sorting as you will keep poppin them boost pipes off

hwell ive put a miltek decat full exhaust system , you can go to a custom place to get this done
(before they tell u its ilegal to decat its not for diesels )
i then put an airfilter on the car , i first went for a green cotton panel filter which worked well , but have since put on a carbonio induction kit

i have not remapped my car , and am not sure if previous owner before last had it done , as last onwer was and older woman who used it for comuting

, i have had it roling roaded and thats what my run was , i had boost logged to see , and it was anly boosting just over standard , so if its been mapped its very mildly done

markwales has just had his mapped with carbonio and a custom exhaust and is pushing similar power

as for cars ive blown now , suppose its down to driver ability too , but smoked astra sri diesel (mates ,
merg diesels , bm 320 dervs

golf gttdi tuned , lots of cars really , the merc boy wasnt happy , as he wouldnt tell me what hed done to his i guess just a remap as it was brand new 60plate , and was badged amg , but guess that was just trim level really , plus he wouldnt tell me what engine/power it was

apart from no one else held him out on a race , he just flew past others ,,

what mpg you getting after all them mods ?? isit better ir worse ?? id be happy with approx 190 to 200bhp#

so were can i get it de cated ??? :p considering iv come from a mazda rx8 2.6 litre 260bhp beast which gave me 19mpg to a 150bhp :p im kinda missing the power :(

mines **** , but dont drive it sensible , but a load of people report 45- 55 mpg easily , depends on driving style and roads ,ie motorway etc

as for power , one the torque has increased should give you some pleasure ,

mid range power in the 130/150tdis is emmence. I used to have the crack with a mate of mine in his evo7 on the bypass in the mornings and from 30-60mph there wasnt much between them at all.

Mine was running around 200bhp, dunno about the torque but can imagine it was a strong figure.
