Who should i go to for a remap for FR170?

Revo, Custom-Code or AMD.

I cannot make my mind up who to go for, so anyone with experiance on these what would you recommend? Im looking to get the Remap done on the 28th this month.

Thanks

If you only do town driving i wouldn't recommend rampping due to the diesel particle filter (DPF) issues. If you occasionally drive motorway runs then you should be fine.
I've not mapped mine yet, but will be doing it along with the DPF removal, as i don't want to start having PDF issues after remap. note that soot levels will be very slightly higher after a remap and cause the DPF regeneration to kick in more often if you are not able to burn off the soot from normal driving.

Have you thought about superchips bluefin?
tbh, the three you mentioned are good tuners in their own right and you wouldn't go wrong with any of them. It's just a matter of if they have a map thats compatible with your ECU.

Just ordered Bluefin today for various reasons. If you quote SCN on the bluefin official site you get it for £391 inc delivery (10% off) but I ordered mine for £375 inc delivery off another site and can't wait to load it on and take her out ;)

What site is that if you dont mind sharing?

Bluefin only claim a 27bhp gain over the standard 170?

Yes they do but I haven't heard any reports of problems with the DPF with this more subtle remap. They were getting more from it but had issues so toned it down plus it's more for the torque and smoothness through the higher gears I got it and I like the fact you can take it off and they send you updates they may improve on the 27bhp ;)

Do you know what torque they are claiming?

I may also be tempted with Bluefin, however I would like to be able to transfer this to my next Leon FR next year which will have the CR diesel. Wonder if thats possible and I bet it gets alot more than 27bhp!

Yes all you do is send the unit back to them and they reset it for your next vag car :D There will be a fee I assume but it should be minimal.

Seat Leon TDI
2006 onwards
Engine type : Turbo-Diesel
Engine size : 1968 cm3
Cylinders : 4
Original bhp : 170
Original nm : 350
BHP increase : 27
NM gain : 77
Lb/Ft gain : 57

If you get it reset within 12 months of your purchase it is free! :)

Also, if you swap in your old handset for a new model of car, they knock 30% off the price of a new one..

Noticed you have the Eibach springs could I ask how much you paid all in fitting the lot? May well be my next mod project might go for the sport kit how does the pro run?
Timed my 50-100mph around 13.5sec through 4th will do the same after remap felt it was a better gear to test it through

I think they're great.. Paid about £150 delivered for the springs and £120 fitting. I decided to go for the Pro kit over the Sportline kit because the roads around here are ****ing terrible! Would have destroyed my suspension in no time with the amount of miles I do..

The FR ride is firm to start with, has the pro kit softened it or made it yet firmer?

It was quite crashy firm before I found.. The Eibach springs are still firm, but they seem to handle the bumps better and aren't as crashy. Hope that makes sense?!

can you do me a favour :) can you measure from the ground up to the bottom of the sill to see what the distance is.

i am very tempted by this eibach kit but worried about not been able to get the car on a garage ramp. i also have side skirts which makes the sides even lower still so i would like to know what difference there would be

much appriciated

Thanks for the pics Street I read also with the sport kit the dampers can bottom out so to change them also which would hike the price up so the pro springs might be the easier way to go. Think I get what you mean about the crashyness off original springs.
As for the Bluefin still no sign :( wonder if this is why it's so cheap
