I can make them for you yeah I sturggled to find the right strut though and gave up in the end, the a3 ones that people are using are supposed to be rated 290N ( 10 years ago) so they are probably half that rating now, thats why I was struggling because I was using a brand new 300N! They were nearly shooting my bonnet into space In the end I gave up as I didnt want to fork out 20 quid for a new weaker one.
I would suggest start at about 200 and see how you go on

There is custom strut place near me so can always get them to test a few different strengths out for me

Would it not be pretty similar to the MK5 golf bonnet strut?
