Morning all

Quick question, I'm looking for front wheel spacers for my mk2 fr 2012.

I've already fitted rears, theyre all good but I'm a bit unclear on the fronts.

Ideally I'd like 10mm but a local wheel specialist has said I can't have 10mm hubcentric as the stub on the hub sticks out too far. And I kind of get the theory yet some companies do still sell them?

Im not precious about 10mm, for example 8mm or 11mm will do. Providing they're hubcentric. Do shorter spacers allow the original hub stub to locate the wheel? If so what's the cut off for this and where is the cut off for hubcentric spacers that have a stub extention machined to them.

Any clarification would be mint.

Thanks all, Dan

What ET are your wheels?

I ran 15mm all round on my cupra with standard wheels on , it was lowered on eibach sportlines and had no rubbing issues

Not sure of there offset, they're standard FR+ wheels. 225/40/18s lowered 30mm on H&Rs. I tried a 15mm on the front and it looked a bit daft to be fair. I dunno if it rubbed because i stuck it back on the jack and took it straight back off 😂 I guess I have a wider offset because a 15mm spacer left the wheel poking out by a couple mm.

Everyone goes on about 10mm on the front. But I've been told my options are 0-5mm shim spacer - wheel centered on the original hub.
6-12mm shim spacer - wheel not located hubcentrally (and I could get wheel wobble and die)
13-25mm hubcentral spacer - all good. (but too pokey outey for what I need) 😔
