Hello,

Looking to buy a Leon 130/150 TDi in the next month or so, but I'm a bit surprised by the 0-60 times (got from Parkers website) compared to the golf and A3.

Golf 9.3, 127mph
Leon 9.5, 127 mph
A3, 10.2, 127mph

What's going on with the A3 - nearly a second slower than the golf? They're all 6 speeders, same engine...

Can't belive the Golf is lighter than the Leon or A3 - (anyway, I thought the A3 had aluminium panels).

Anyone got real-world experiance of the performance of these three cars?

Chris

Same engines but the ECU map may be different from each car. You may find that the real world figure will all be very similar to the book figure. I am not sure if they have difference gearing either....

I mean you can get really get into it and may find each cars alloys are lighter/heavier. Some options that come with each car are heavier lighter...One might come with a full alloy as a spare others may come with a space saver instead.

Well the top speed is bollox on the Leon, i can confirm that........ 134 with some left (GPS speed).
Also look closer to 8 seconds on 0-60 and faster again with remap.

You mention 130/150 - I guess the times you have specified are the 130, if so I think Daveyonthemove will be referring to the 150 with a near 8 sec 0-60.
