Hi Guys,

Ive got a Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sc Se.
With the Coming Home function i just cant get it to work?!
I've turned car off ...
left the headlights on...
remove key from ignition...
open door...
Push headlight lever to main beam position...

And nothing..? it worked once but that's it never again does that mean i have to do all before i leave the car for it to work I'm very Confused?!

Thank you any help would be appreciated

I've got a FL leon fr and for the coming home feature to work I have to flash the main beam when I've parked up. Silly idea way of doing it if you ask me. No leaving home feature.

Mine has the options on the mfd convenience menu and works fine for "leaving home" i.e. getting into the car when its dark... unlock and the lights come on.

Coming home doesnt seem to want to know though, even though i have the option set to on and timer set to 20 seconds. I get home, in the dark, leave the lights on auto and turn off the ignition... nothing... ??

I think you still have to "flash" the stalk to tell it you want Coming Home to activate, even though you have auto lights. Don't have a manual to hand, but J17 might have the steps in a slightly wrong order  I thought it was "flash" before you take the key out...

Thank you very much! It works turn ignition off and then flash the lights and then they stay on for 30seconds..
Can anyone recomend washing products, equipment for white car? Cheers
:D

Your bang on the money there... and i've just had a light bulb moment... i was cleaning the car yesterday and while wiping the steering wheel and stalks over i flashed the lights... then wondered why they stayed on for around 30 seconds... funnily enough, thats the amount of time i set the coming home lights to !

So, do you have to do this everytime ?

Yes every time you want to use the coming home function you've got to flash the lights (found it yesterday in the book while i was looking to alter the sensitivity of the auto lights without luck!)

Thanks Chris its exactly where you said. I remember playing around in there when I got the car, after 15 months I actually had to get the books out as I forgot how to get into the MFD menu :headhurt:
Coming home function perfect, the 'leaving home' where the lights come back on when unlocking must be a feature with the auto-lights only :(
Thanks for the help!

Dave

I don't have auto lights in my 06 plate with the basic MFD :( and i have enabled both the coming home and leaving home lights via vag-com.

Works a treat mate.
