hi guys just need some advice please.

on my dash I've always had my airbag light on but quite dimmed but when I first start the car the light lights up as it should its once the car has started it dims. now I was driving to work this morning the TCS light started to flicker but again really dimmed so I switched it off and the light came on but switched back on and the light was dimmed and the empty fuel gauge light has came on but also really dimmed but have a full tank. does anyone know what causes this also I have a 2003 Reg 1.9pdtdi 130 but with the 4 clocks not 6

regards luke

Could still be some issues with the solder on the back of the clocks, another possibility is a dying battery.

Thats what i thought but i only replaced the battery 6 months ago and as soon as i did that thats when the dimmed airbag light came on. I have had it scanned by an obd2 reader and no fault codes were found.

From reading another thread somewhere, it is probably a dash pod failure. What was said in the thread I read was that it would be due to metallic contamination of the PCB during its assembly, ie an earthing issue and as there are a few distinct earthing planes only a select few lights/functions get effected. Though if you removed the dash pod and cleaned the board up and try reflowing all the joints then you might just sort it, failing that, maybe send it away for repair if you can live with VOR.
