limp home mode coming on but no codes

hi, this is my first thread and im new to all this.

the car is a 1.9 tdi pd130 ibiza.

to cut a long story short limp home mode keeps coming on, usually over 80 mph giving it a bit of load. also doesnt feel like its giving its all sometimes. i just have to switch the ignition off and on and the limp homes gone.

plugged it into two different code readers, one of which was vag com and no codes are showing.

just wondering if anyone has any ideas or similar problems.

sounds like overboost to me, in which case vagcom should read "charge pressure control, positive deviation". I cannot understand limp mode happening with no fault, as that's the whole point of limp omde in that the car thinks something is wrong and crashes to preserve the engine.

yep agreed, if you have access to vagcom plug it and get it logging then go for a drive and log the boost requested vs actual, then graph the results to show whats wrong.
