driving to the nec yesterday to go to the autosport show (was ****) my car seemed to have went into limp mode several times.

it norm boost's peak 22psi holds 17 to red line.

but was boosting to 9 - 10 psi i had to clear fault codes 17536 it brought up.

so is that limp mode in my car 9-10 psi ?

im running ko3's turbo, stage 2 cc map plus usual other mods

suspect MAF gone tits on ya...
log airflow if you can... you should be seeing 170g/s or more if its well.

you did say up yours that it was not pulling air thro as it should
 
boost's alot lower than what iut normaly does, you'l know when its in limp as its no fun to drive lol
 
i have got a new maf i have gone thorugh 4 in the last 3 months lol

i had one 2 days after i was up with u bill,
 
got a jetex filter on it mate down in the wing, had one of those re-location kits off ebay makes the filter sit down in wing
 
yea it is i sopose lol, secure it down more ?

run vag today and it come up with 16487 - maf signal to high ??
also 17968
 
iv now bought this car and its still happening. should i secure the filter so it cant jiggle about then?
 
if its killing maf's it should be mounted with some vibration isolation, and not allowed to rattle about. the maf on thar car was tired, it needed another. logs will confirm whats going on with it.
 
ok thanks mate. ill try cleaning the MAF and then secure the filter. JJ should be sending me a copy through of the vagcom software so if the problem persists ill get the laptop plugged in.
 
the maf is a new one dan as you can see, it has to be the filter as it sits to low in the wing must be dragging up a lil moist air and thats killing the maf ??

take the metal pipe off mate and just sit the filter in the engine bay ofdf the maf sensor and see if it stops it goin into limp mod.
