I have a 2006 Leon, petrol 1.6S, that is causing me a deal of heartache and pain. I've had it fourteen months and in that time I've had a number of problems withthe EPC light (sometimes accompanied by the emissions light) coming on and the car defaulting to limp mode.
It's been back to two different Seat dealers here in Dublin and has had a throttle change and several sensor changes - yet still this problem keeps happening. Also, some times when stationary at lights etc. the revs stick at about 1500-2000 rpm, which stays the same until I blip the throttle. To me this indicates that the issue probably is with the throttle controls themselves, but by the same token I'm not a VAG group technician.
So I have two questions - firstly, does anyone have any idea whatsoever is causing this, as clearly in the three visits especially for this issue and the three services it's had in the last year the dealers don't and secondly does anyone have a number for Seat Ireland as I am having a problem with getting a replacement car while I wait yet again for a slot to have the car fixed. Given that most of my miles are motorway, the car is just dangerous when limp mode kicks in in the outside lane so I intend to get onto them in the interim for a replacement.![Furious [:@] [:@]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/furious.gif)
