i asked if anyone knows if it would work, its got diagnostic tools on it and also gaugues would be like killing two birds with one stone, it mensions the ibiza if you read up but im not sure if itll work with the mk3??

lol if it works with the mk3 it looks like it could be a good bit of kit for the price, depends on what fault codes it shows, and if it shows boost etc ?

Im testing one at the moment. Good bit of kit. Only things that wont work with the mk3 cupra is oil temp, egt and anything else we dont have a sensor as standard for.

Where do you mount it in a Cupra then? Couldn't see any information on dimensions to confirm whether it's available as a standard gauge size.

CF's?

Pretty much do away with vag com if thats the case.

Where have you mounted it?

Because they are made for TTs and will work with other cars but have not had surrounds made for them yet its difficult to mount. I have mine zip tied over the steering column and have also had it zip tied to the air vent inthe middle on the drivers side. No way it would fit in a 52mm or 60mm gauge housing.

Its a good bit of kit considering it is really still in development and I do like it alot. Few things to be changed I believe but he keeps adding functions which are really good and he does a postal update service for only postage costs.

Only downside over vag com is that 1- it obviously doesnt have its full functionality but then it does have some things vag com doesnt and 2- the data is only displayed on screen in graph or gauge mod and is not downloadable or previous info showable so not good for proper logging and comparison etc.

sounds like a great bit if kit though, i was thinking us cupra owners could put it in the cubby hole where the cupra R gauges are plaiced? it would take a bit of modding to the cupra R Gauge holder but itll look cool once done? anychance i can get hold of one of these to test out? would be easier for people who basically dont have a clue about thier cars to get it fixed at a garage without being ripped off as they can see the fault code on thier dash, so does it show boost etc ? i really like the idea of this

Cubby hole isnt the greatest place to have it. It needs to be in view and easy reach so down there isnt any good. Think hes only testing them on one of each car which Im obviously doing on the mk3 cupra but you can ask. If you dont have a clue about your car knowinh the fault code isnt going to help much as the code wont actually tell you what needs doing just the fault. It shows boost etc. Check the website.

cheers nev yours looks awsome,

pj i spose your right about the fault codes, but its stil handy to take into a garage and say look thats wrong with my car itll save time etc, basically ive been looking at this as i was thinking about getting vag com, but id also like a boost gauge, its both of those with alot of extras, so can you upgrade them using the computer or do they need to be sent away?
