locating alternator wire...not charging over 12V FIXED

I know issued been covered a few times so i checked but still cant work out where the cable is?!

Alternator not charging over 12v after startup until rev to 2k. Been to garage in july where they 'fixed it'. Gone again now.

Is it a cable near the alternator itself or near the gbox? What does it look like (any pics please!) and is it under bonet or under car job?

under the car on the passenger side near the front, you cant really miss it especially if its snapped.

So, got it fixed?

Yep. Garage had originally fixed it 6 months ago as it looks like they glued the wires into the plug. Unfortunately they also cable tied the wire against another cable very tightly causing it to eventually sheer off. Its a very week wire but put a connectornand some insulation tape. Now works fine...battery warning sign comes at ignition!
