Well thought it was about time I started one of these. So here we go. I bought my Leon cupra about two and a half years ago nearly. Only one owner from new who was on here too. It's extreme blue and a lovely colour. Firstly I will show you a picture of my old car. Which again I spent far to much money on

An the other wheels I had on it

So I sold that but kept the brembos :)
Here is the day I got it home

Then it had a good machine polish first off

Then after that it had a set of James springs fitted. Soon to be changed to the coilovers. I did have some pictures but can't find them at the moment.
Also upgraded the brakes on the front to ebc grooved and a decent set of pads. Again can't find the pictures.

Then it carried on with a few small bits and bobs.
I made my own double din centre consol for a Sony stereo I picked up from work. At a rather good price. I changed the boot install aroun abit tht the previous owner had put in.

Now for the biggest update for the car was the wheel choice. It took me a while. An I originally wante a staggered set of BBS CH but they had been overdone somewhat. I wanted to be different. And after searching I noticed a set of X5 alloys fitted to a golf. Now if they fit on a golf I sure as hell will get them on a Leon. So I picked up a set really bloody cheap and decided to do a refurb.

I soon wanted to see what thy looked like so measured up and bought a set of adapters to see how the rear would sit :)

I thought they looked awesome. So got on with the refurb

I decided on a gunmetal colour with a polished rim.

And some more of test fits.

So I got really impatient and just cracked on. Ordered tyres and the other adapters and got them on. And wow I was really impressed. They couldn't have looked any better :)

I also painted a few engine bits too and did some polishing

Got bored of the wheels poking too much and the tyres being insanely stretched so fitted some wider tyres and added some rear camber

But having wider tyres meant the arches would catch sometimes.

Off to have the arches flared :)

This gave me a lot more clearance and some fatter looking arches

Just some pics of it fitted

And now for my most recent purchase which was a rather cheap set of full Audi s3 recaros. Now I here people of not being able to use airbags and putting resistors in blah blah. I didn't want that I wanted full airbags so I was going to get them working which I did. An it wasn't that hard. But here are some pics.

Adapters came from Dpm performance and eBay. Thanks for the comments. It's getting there. Few more things to do on the list. Driveshaft or something has tarted to make a noise. Get a clicking sound every time you put power through the drivetrain

These wheels are looking awesome... :-o What coilovers are you running on?

I'm after a set of Porsche wheels but after seeing this setup I don't know which way to go. :D

Just running Jom coilovers at the moment. Cheap and cheerful lows :) can't believe how much more comfy the S3 recaros are :)
And how is the ride like with the JOMs? I'm plannig to buy a KW Variante 1 kit, I've heard a lot of good things about it. :)

Next step is the wheels, I don't really know what to choose. The OVNI yellow color is not the best in this case... :D

JOMs are suprisingly comfy, they have just released a set of coilovers for the cupra R aswell, come in at 210quid, onvi yellow goes well with dark wheels i think.

I left a comment on the what have you done today, as I saw yours in halfords in penzance on saturday i think..? I came to get an exhaust clamp but they didn't have any!! Car still looks lush!
